B1G1 and Charities (Worthy Causes)

B1G1 does not ‘represent’ any charities (even though it now has more than 600 supported projects in 22 countries around the world). B1G1 is very simply about one thing — giving. And to make that happen, B1G1 provides your company with expertise and a series of systems and processes that embed giving into your corporate DNA.
B1G1WorthyCauses
B1G1 significantly impacts charities (including, of course, the ones you already give to). It does that in at least four ways:

  • It spreads their message globally through inclusion in the B1G1 sites, blogs, videos, newsletters and other related articles
  • It reduces their reliance on expensive fundraising activities (and that means simply that more funds go to the beneficiaries)
  • It gives them a consistent and sustainable flow of funds (the Global Financial Crisis we saw in 2008/9 forced some companies to turn OFF their giving tap —Buy1GIVE1 giving does not stop while there are transactions)
  • B1G1 helps the Worthy Causes lower their overheads. It’s not unusual for charities to pay 25% of donations to fundraisers. B1G1 Membership for Causes is free and so again, more funds go to the beneficiaries

As a founder of one cause (Dr. Lynelle Kerr) puts it:

“Thank God for B1G1 — now I don’t have to spend my time in expensive fundraising. I can just get on and do the work to help the people our Foundation serves.”

B1G1 brings something else magical into the mix too.  Significantly, it moves giving from something often associated (or even marketed) with guilt to a totally different state — one of JOY. As B1G1 puts it, ‘we’re sharing the joy of giving, every second, every day and in every way’.

So for charities, being a part of B1G1 makes perfect sense. Membership for Worthy Causes with B1G1 is free and naturally subject to appropriate due diligence. Just send us an email with the details or ask the Worthy Cause to contact us
